2013-14: Saw action in 25 games as a true Freshmen...averaged 13.4 minutes of play... made 13 three pointers... had 9 steals... scored 53 points... averaged 2.1 points per game.

Prep: Played for the Boulder High School Panthers…Played under Head Coach Ron Burgin her senior year…Helped Boulder earn a spot in the state tournament each year…Four Time Varsity MVP…Second Team All-Conference Continental League freshman year…As a sophomore led the team in scoring, three point baskets, assists and steals…Named 2nd Team All-Conference…Named Team Captain junior year…Led the team in scoring, three point baskets, assists and steals…First Team All-Conference Front Range League, Honorable Mention All-Region, Honorable Mention All-State…Team Captain senior year…Led the team in scoring, three point baskets, assists and steals…First Team All-Conference Front Range League, First Team All-Region, All-Region Player of the Year, Honorable Mention All-State…

Lena finished with 210 career three pointers made- #8 All-Time in the Colorado State High School Activities Association Girls Record Book…Finished with over 1400 points at Boulder High School.

Played club basketball for Colorado Elite, coached by All-American and member of two University of Connecticut National Championships, Keirsten Walters.

Academics: Majoring in sports psychology…Hopes to coach basketball at the college level.

Off the Court: Daughter of Gary and Deb Jaycox…Sister to Jarucia,  Michael…Aunt to Destiny…Lena is the first in her family to play sports at the college level…Enjoys playing pick-up basketball at the gym, watching sports…Favorite movie is Love and Basketball…Favorite food is Pasta and Bread…Favorite Professional Sports Teams are the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos.

Why I Chose Adams State: I chose Adams State because I feel like it will be a great fit for me. Not only sports wise but also academically. It has the degree program I want and I’m not too far from home.
