As a Freshman (2011): Played in and started 15 games in his debut campaign with the Grizzlies… Scored one goal on 11 shots, five of which were placed on target… First career goal came against then 3rd-ranked Fort Lewis in Durango on Sept. 23, ten minutes before halftime.
Prep: Earned Second team all-conference and honorable mention all-state honors at the 5A level for the John Shepard coached Rio Rancho HS Rams in 2010… Helped the team to the state playoffs… Was injured during the 2009 high school season, which saw the team win a district title… Also helped the squad when a district title in 2008 after transferring… Had played at Rogers HS in Wyoming, Michigan during the 2007 campaign… Was a varsity starter and an all-district pick there… Plays defender position.
Club: Plays goalkeeper position for the Gabe Nosseir coached Classic FC Gladiators of Albuquerque, N.M…. The team is ranked fifth in the nation by GotSoccer.com… The squad was State Cup Champions and Region IV Finalists in 2010… They also finished third in the USYS National League and at the Disney Showcase that year… They won the Disney Showcase Championship in 2009… Has helped win three (2008-10) Albuquerque City Futsal Championships.
Academics: Plans to major in Pre-Law with hopes of working in law enforcement... Has a 3.0 high school GPA.
Off the Pitch: Born 11/7/92 to Matt and Suzy Hinkle… Brother Tony, 24, is serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq… Sister Kaci, 22, will be graduating from Baldwin-Wallace of Berea, Ohio in 2011 with a degree in musical theatre… Matt played football at Army from 1982-84… Suzy was a cheerleader at McMurray University of Abilene Texas from 1980-84… Enjoys snowboarding, playing the drums and serving as a youth leader at a local church… Favorite movie is Anchorman… Favorite foods are pizza rolls... Favorite sports team is Barcelona FC.
