ALAMOSA, Colo. (October 11, 2014) – The Adams State University Grizzlies women's volleyball team was victorious this evening against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) rival the Colorado State University-Pueblo ThunderWolves by a match score of 3-0. Head Coach Lindy Mortenson and her club capped of their portion of this week's homecoming events by winning both their matches in resounding fashion.
With tonight's victory, ASU improves their record to 10-8 on the season, 5-5 in RMAC play. CSU-Pueblo record falls to 10-8 while being 5-5 in RMAC play as well.

After tonight's win, Adams State has now won their last two contests. Tonight from Plachy Hall, the Grizzlies took down CSU-Pueblo via set scores of 25-23, 25-19, and 25-21.

Following up from her solid performance last night,
Lindsey Stindt responded tonight with another impact showing. She collected 17 kills on the night while hitting .333, along with eight digs.
Mallory Grimsrud also had an outstanding performance for the Grizzlies, collecting 11 kills along with 5 blocks.
Gabrielle Timmen led the team with 17 digs and
Katelyn Schwartz led the team with 40 assists. The defensive combination of both Grimsrud and Schwartz totaled nine combined blocks. As a team, CSU-Pueblo managed to collect seven blocks.

The Grizzlies end their part of the homecoming festivities with a two game winning the streak. After their short stay at home, ASU will now travel again to face off against Fort Lewis College on October 17
th in Durango, Colo. This will be their sixth away game in their last eight matches.Â
