DENVER (October 17, 2014) – The Adams State University men's soccer team visited the Regis University Rangers today for Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) action. Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, the Rangers defeated ASU, 4-1. It marks the second time this season that ASU has fallen to Regis. With the loss Adams State moves to 1-11, 0-9 RMAC.
Ryan Urwiller of Regis gave the Rangers an early lead in the 21
st minute of play when he scored on a header assisted by Martin Maybin and Arnthor Kristinsson. At the 30
th minute mark, Maybin troubled the Grizzly defense again, connecting on another goal. In a span of 10 minutes the Rangers were up 2-0. Right before the conclusion of the half Regis found the net again, scoring on a goal from Kirstinsson.

Regis led Adams State 3-0 at the break and outperformed the Grizzlies by having a shot advantage of 10-3.

The second half proved to be much of the same result with Regis outshooting Adams State 11-1, totaling a shot advantage of 21-4 for the game. The Grizzlies did score at the 67
th minute mark when
Carlos Castro scored his first goal of the season. At the 73
rdminute, Sawyer Lincoln was assisted by Maybin for the fourth and final goal for the Rangers.

Adams State will travel to Colorado State University-Pueblo on October 19 at 2:30 p.m. for their next match.Â
