DENVER (October 17, 2014) – The Adams State University men's soccer team visited the Regis University Rangers today for Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) action. Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, the Rangers defeated ASU, 4-1. It marks the second time this season that ASU has fallen to Regis. With the loss Adams State moves to 1-11, 0-9 RMAC.

Ryan Urwiller of Regis gave the Rangers an early lead in the 21^st minute of play when he scored on a header assisted by Martin Maybin and Arnthor Kristinsson.  At the 30^th minute mark, Maybin troubled the Grizzly defense again, connecting on another goal. In a span of 10 minutes the Rangers were up 2-0. Right before the conclusion of the half Regis found the net again, scoring on a goal from Kirstinsson.
 
Regis led Adams State 3-0 at the break and outperformed the Grizzlies by having a shot advantage of 10-3.
 
The second half proved to be much of the same result with Regis outshooting Adams State 11-1, totaling a shot advantage of 21-4 for the game. The Grizzlies did score at the 67^th minute mark when Carlos Castro scored his first goal of the season.  At the 73^rdminute, Sawyer Lincoln was assisted by Maybin for the fourth and final goal for the Rangers.
 
Adams State will travel to Colorado State University-Pueblo on October 19 at 2:30 p.m. for their next match.
