ALAMOSA, Colo. (October 25, 2014) -- The Adams State University Grizzlies men's soccer team lost yesterday in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) match between the visiting Colorado Christian University Cougars by a 2-1 margin. With the loss, Adams States' record now falls to 1-13,0-11 in RMAC play. Colorado Christian on the other hand improves their record to 5-10, 2-9 in RMAC play. The Grizzlies have now lost 13 straight matches.

The visiting Colorado Christian Cougars fought back from an early deficit to capture a victory from Adams State. Striker
Aaron Fox, the leading goal scorer from a year ago for the Grizzlies scored his first goal of the season at the 10:10 mark off an assist from
Ethan Jackson. The strike found the back right corner and put the Grizzlies ahead 1-0. An exchange of shots on goal followed for both teams until the 32
nd minute mark when CCU striker Ben Lindgren found the back of the net to equalize for the Cougars. Five minutes later, the Cougars took the lead on behalf of a goal from Nick Seifert. For  Lindgren and Seifert it marked their first goals of the season. CCU took their 2-1 lead into halftime.

Neither team was able to capitalize on possession during their second half, mainly in part due the phenomenal play of Cougar goalkeeper Brandon Eide. He had two saves in the second half to prevent the Grizzlies from equalizing. The Grizzlies had eight more shots in the second half but none were able to trickle their way into the back of the net. The game ended with the Cougars beating the Grizzlies 2-1.
Austin Baumeister was the goalie for the Grizzlies as he allowed two goals but collect four saves. The Grizzlies will play the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks on Sunday Oct. 26
