LAS VEGAS, N.M. (October 10, 2015) —The Adams State University volleyball team lost tonight in their road matchup against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) foe New Mexico Highlands University.
With the loss, the Grizzlies' record falls to 3-13, 2-6 RMAC.
The Grizzlies were defeated in four sets via match scores of 25-17, 20-25, 21-25, and 20-25.
Adams State started the game hot, winning the first set. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies could not hold onto their early momentum and witnessed Cowgirls' outside hitters Kristen Woody and Andrea Nunez take over. Wood led the Cowgirls with 15 kills while Nunez chipped in 12 while hitting .407.

Alex Parker, who has strung together two very solid offensive outings, led the team with 18 kills while hitting .324.
Mallory Grimsrud came through with another solid performance, leading the team with two total blocks along with 12 kills. Setter
Katelyn Schwartz assisted 44 of the Grizzlies kills while fellow classmate
Savannah Smith led the team with 15 digs.
