GUNNISON, Colo. (October 31, 2015)—The Adams State University Grizzlies volleyball team lost tonight, 3-1, in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) match against the Western State Colorado University Mountaineers. The Grizzlies have now lost two consecutive matches.
ASU lost tonight's game via set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-16, and 25-19. Offensively, Adams State was led by the play of
Mallory Grimsrud. Grimsrud led the team with 13 kills off 43 attacks. Grimsrud punched in another solid performance defensively, leading the team with three blocks.
Alex Parker and
Nina Mody-Bailey each posted nine and eight kills, respectively.
Katelyn Schwartz chipped in 29 assists.
For the night, the Grizzlies were restricted to a .099 hitting percentage while the Mountaineers had a .243 hitting percentage. Defensively,
Gabrielle Timmen posted 20 digs while
Briannah Mariner chipped in 14.
