Box Score ALAMOSA, Colo. (November 6, 2015)— The Adams State University Grizzlies women's volleyball team won tonight 3-0, in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) match against the New Mexico Highlands University Cowgirls. In their previous match this season, the Grizzlies lost 3-1. ASU improves their record to 9-15 on the season, while being 8-8 in RMAC play.
ASU won tonight's match via set scores of 25-21, 25-21, and 25-23. Offensively, Adams State was led by the outstanding performance put in from middle blocker
Mallory Grimsrud. Grimsrud posted 10 kills tonight off of 22 total attacks, good for a .324 hitting percentage.
Alex Parker posted seven kills while
Emily Langley and
Briannah Mariner each posted five kills, respectively. Setter
Katelyn Schwartz chipped in 30 of the Grizzlies assists.
For the night Adams limited the Cowgirl attack to just a .170 hitting percentage. In comparison, Adams posted a .147 attacking percentage. Grimsrud was a threat on both sides of the ball, tallying six blocks in tonight's affair.
Savannah Smith led the team with digs, posting a total of 12 against the Cowgirls.
