ALAMOSA, Colo. (March 17, 2015) -- It was an active day at the plate on Tuesday for Adams State University during a 17-4 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State University. The team registered new single game bests for runs (17) and team batting average (.455).

The non-conference home win moves ASU to 7-12 overall as the Aggies fall to 3-18. On the season, the Grizzlies are now 3-1 against Oklahoma Panhandle.

Adams State produced a total of five multi-run innings highlighted by a five-run fourth inning. Despite the surge in offense throughout the game it was the Aggies who claimed the first run in the top of the first. The lead was short-lived as ASU produced three runs in the bottom of the frame and never looked back.

Leading the way was junior outfielder Nico Porreco who accounted for a game-high four hits and three RBI. Junior Zach Moldenhauer went 2-of-5 at the dish along with three runs and three RBI. Junior pitcher Anthony Parise picks up his first win of the season with three innings of work and striking out four.

ASU's home stand resumes on Friday to begin a four game series with Colorado Christian University. First pitch is slated for 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
