DENVER, Colo. (September 20, 2015) – The Adams State University men's soccer team fell at the hands of Regis University by a score of 3-0 on Sunday.
Adams State (1-4-0, RMAC 1-1) came into Denver riding high on their road win in Rapid City, S.D.

They were met with stiff competition and kept off the board. Regis (2-2-0, RMAC 1-1) had a deceptive record but put on a show of force against ASU.

After allowing RU's Eduardo Belmar his first goal of the season in the third minute, ASU tightened up and kept things competitive at 1-0 through the first half. Adams State just couldn't keep up and Belmar ripped off a second goal nine minutes into the second half. After that Sawyer Lincoln poured on a third Regis goal and his first of the season with just 10 minutes left to play to finalize the shut-out victory.

The Grizzlies had two of their own shots on target, one from Ethan Jackson and the other from Caleb Eckenroth. Both ASU shots were handled by, week two RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week, Christian Nicolosi.

The Grizzlies are next in action when they match up against Fort Lewis College (4-2-0, RMAC 2-0) in Durango on Wednesday.  Fort Lewis will be led by RMAC Preseason Player of the Year Yannis Becker. Becker has a goal and two assists in 2015. Catch the live stats at www.asugrizzlies.com.
