Box Score ALAMOSA, Colo.—(September 26, 2015)—The Adams State University Grizzlies women's volleyball team lost
tonight at home in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) matchup against the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs in three sets. With
tonight's results, the Grizzlies' record now stands at 2-10, 1-3 in RMAC play. UCCS improve to 8-5, 3-1 in RMAC play on the season with
tonight'scurrent results. The Grizzlies have now dropped two straight games.
The Mountain Lions leave the confines of Plachy Hall victorious via set scores of 25-21, 25-21, and 25-16. The outside hitter duo of Taylor Hamilton and Kim Catlett proved to pay big dividends for the visiting team, as they contributed 23 of the team's 38 total kills. Catlett led the team with 13 kills on the night while Hamilton cashed in 10 kills of a .350 hitting percentage.
Paitton Heltenberg of the Grizzlies had herself quite a showing for ASU, as she contributed nine kills in
tonight's affair.
Maisy Munson contributed 18 assists while
Briannah Mariner had a season best 13 digs.
In the first set, the Grizzlies' team attack percentage was 0.167% (12/30) compared to the Mountain Lion's 0.306% (15/36). In the second and third sets, the Grizzlies attacking percentage dropped to -0.107% (7/28) and -0.28% (12/36) respectively. The Mountain Lions second set percentage dropped to 0.118% (12/34) and a 0.258% (11/31) in the third.
The Grizzlies will now prepare for their next RMAC game at home against Colorado Christian University on
