ALAMOSA, Colo. (November 8th, 2016) --- The Adams State volleyball team won their 15
th game of the season tonight against CSU-Pueblo in 5 sets by a score of 3-2.
In the first set, the Grizzlies prevailed in a 25-21 bout. The second set would have a similar margin, but went the way of the Thunderwovles 20-25. CSU-Pueblo took the third 21-25. Adams would push it to a decisive fifth set with a 25-22 fourth set win. In the fifth, the Grizzlies jumped out to a quick 7-3 lead. The Thunderwolves would not be phased however, cutting the score to 11-10.
Nina Mody-Bailey finally hit a game winning kill off a
Katelyn Schwartz assist, ending things 15-11.
Mallory Grimsrud dominated for the Grizzlies with 25 kills, though Caitlin Broadwell did equally as well for the Thunderwolves putting up 25 kills also.
Katelyn Schwartz added 36 assists while
Briannah Mariner posted 34 digs.
The win improves Adams State to 15-11. The loss drops CSU-Pueblo to 11-15.
The team ends the regular season at Western State Colorado University on November 12
