PUEBLO, Colo. (September 10th, 2016)— In the final day of the CSU-Pueblo Tournament, the Grizzlies again go 1-1 on the day. Today's games put Adams even at 2-2 for the tournament, and 5-4 overall.
In this morning's first game, Nova Southeastern (5-3) was able to secure the win in 4 sets over the Grizzlies. Despite a dominant 2
nd set which ended in a 25-11 victory, Adams was defeated 1-3.
Mallory Grimsrud recorded 20 kills, while
Katelyn Schwartz put up 31 assists.
6 hours later, the Grizzlies took on the hosts from CSU-Pueblo (2-7). An easy 3-0 win saw the Thunderwolves never even reach 20 points in any set.
Briannah Mariner had 13 kills, and
Savannah Smith achieved 12 digs.
Up next on the long road trip, we head to Spearfish, S.D. to face Black Hills State at 7:00pm on September 16
th.
The Grizzlies will open up their home schedule against Metro State University of Denver on September 23rd at 7:00pm.
