PITTSBURG, Kansas (January 28, 2017) –
Ian Kerr notched a pair of NCAA Division II provisional marks on Saturday to highlight Adams State University at the Pittsburg State Invitational.
Kerr ran a provisional time of 21.43 in the 200m dash to place fifth as teammate
Micah Ballantyne also met a provisional standard with his 10
th place time of 21.82. Kerr obtained his second provisional mark in the 60m dash by crossing the finish line in 6.90 for 15
th. Ballantyne joined Kerr in the event and ultimately took 17
th with a time of 6.92.
With his times, Kerr now ranks third at the NCAA DII level in the 200m dash and 35
th in the 60m dash. Meanwhile, Ballantyne ranks 22
nd nationally in the 200m after Saturday.
The trio of Augie Larranaga,
Dan Goll, and
Wyatt Cunningham rounded out the Adams State men's field on Saturday.
Cunningham cleared 1.94m in the high jump but was unable to clear 1.99 to ultimately take 13
th. Larranaga ran a 400m time of 49.79 for 20
th as Goll took 31
st in the 5000m with a time of 16:13.81.
Oweneika Watson represented the ASU women at the Pittsburg State Invitational in the 200m dash and 60m hurdles. In the hurdles, Watson took 14
th with a time of 9.04 and later took 55
th in the 200m dash at 27.39.
Adams State returns to action for the Grizzly/Buffalo Clash at the High Altitude Training Center (HATC) on Feb. 3-4. A meet schedule can be

A group of ASU student-athletes will also venture to compete at the CU Indoor Collegiate Invitational in Boulder on Feb. 3-4.
