MSOC | Grizzlies Drop Close One to Thunderwolves

ALAMOSA – Adams State lost its third conference game of the season this Sunday to Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Despite having 15 shots with six on goal, the Grizzlies could only muster one goal off of a Carlos Castro shot that deflected off of the goalkeeper's hands in the 54th minute. The Thunderwolves got on the board in the 43rd minute. They would eventually take the lead in the 60th minute off of a Miles Sanchez goal.

The Thunderwolves were led defensively by goalkeeper, Tyler Harvey, who saved five would-be goals. Conner Marth assisted on both of the Thunderwolves goals.

Austin Baumeister remains tied for first in the RMAC for goals allowed with only six in eight games played. The Adams State defense is first in the conference in goals allowed and goals per game.

The loss drops Adams State to a tie for fifth in the conference standings.  Adams State's three conference wins this season matches last season's total conference wins.

The Grizzlies will hit the road as they take on Colorado Christian University this Friday at 1:30 PM.
