Alamosa, Colorado. - The Adams State University volleyball team (7-11, 3-6 RMAC) put up a fight but were no match for No. 12 ranked Regis (17-2, 9-0 RMAC) at home tonight, losing 0-3.
The game started promisingly enough when Adams jumped out to 5-2 lead. The Rangers would answer with a 10-2 run to take an eight point lead. The Grizzlies refused to stay down with a 6-0 run of their own. Regis would hold off the attack for a 25-18 first set win. The second set was very close until the end. Trailing 21-23, a pair of kills from
Mallory Grimsrud and
Hannah Goddard tied things up and ultimately forced the set past 25. Regis would escape the set 28-26 after a Kelsey Green kill and an attack error by ASU. The Rangers kept their distance in the third, winning 25-16 to go home victorious.

Macie Magallon, and
Hannah Goddard combined for 27 of the team's 38 kills offensively. Rachel Ringler led the Grizzlies in assists with 18 while
Gabrielle Timmen added 17 digs. Caitlyn Burroway led the Rangers with 13 kills and 11 digs while Silvia Basso put up 41 assists.
The Grizzlies continue action tomorrow against Chadron State at 5:00PM. The Eagles defeated Fort Lewis tonight 3-0.
