Alamosa, Colorado. - The Adams State University volleyball team (13-13, 9-8 RMAC) had a routine 3-0 win over RMAC bottom dwellers, CSU-Pueblo (4-22, 3-14 RMAC) but it was the implications and broken records that were more notable.
Â
During pregame, head coach
Lindy Mortensen was honored for being Adams State volleyball's most winningest coach, a feat she achieved during the Grizzlies' four game road trip prior to returning home tonight. Though each set was close, there was no real drama. The ThunderWolves took several leads, but frequent errors allowed the Grizzlies to come back every time. The third set was CSUP's best opportunity to steal one but ASU would end that dream with a 5-2 run to close it out.

Mallory Grimsrud was sporting a new hair color but the same athletic skill set, with a team leading 15 kills and seven total blocks.
Hannah Goddard also hit double-digits with 10 kills.
Katelyn Schwartz followed her huge performance from last weekend with 27 assists.
Gabrielle Timmen led the way in digs with 29.
Â
Along with coach Mortensen's honor,
Gabrielle Timmen entered the game with only three digs needed to move into second place for Adams State career digs. Her 29 digs on the night will solidify her as one of the greatest to wear a Grizzly uniform as she now holds that number two ranking in the record book with 1397 digs. The win also clinches the team a trip to the RMAC Tournament and are currently the seven seed. Â Â

The Grizzlies will honor four seniors tomorrow night in the regular season closer against Western State at 6:00PM. Â Â Â
