Alamosa, Colorado - The Adams State University men's basketball team (2-2, 0-0 RMAC) took on Northern New Mexico in an exhibition game tonight at home with a routine 111-84 win.

Considering that the Eagles compete in the NAIA, they put up a decent fight. The visitors never led in the game but did get it within one midway through the first. The Grizzlies led by as much as 32 in this one and cruised to an easy win.

Adams State benefited from the Eagle's 23 turnovers which they turned into 31 points. The Grizzlies also got 42 of its points from the bench and 30 off of the fast break.
Frederick Jackson came up big with 19 points, five rebounds, and three blocks.
Shane Johnson and Trace Dimeff also added 17 points each and combined for seven steals. Bryce Simmons scored 18 for Northern New Mexico

The team will now be on the road for the next seven games, including a trip to Hawaii. Next up, is a rematch with West Texas A&M in Pueblo Friday at 3:00PM.
