Golden, Colorado. - The Adams State University volleyball team (12-12, 8-7 RMAC) could not pull the upset on the road tonight against No. 17 Colorado Mines (20-4, 14-1 RMAC) losing 0-3.

Despite losing all three sets, the Grizzlies made it a very difficult task for the home team. After a decisive 25-16 first set victory by the Orediggers, things got a bit tighter. Adams jumped out to an 8-4 second set lead and would later increase that margin to 18-13. Tied 24-24 near the end, CSM scored five of the last two to win 30-28. Facing an 18-23 deficit in the third, a resilient 6-1 run by ASU evened things at 24. In the run,
Hannah Goddard recorded five kills. The Orediggers would score the next two to win the set 26-24.

Rachel Ringler added 34 assists and seven digs.
Shannon Mulkey had six total blocks while racking up nine kills. The Orediggers had three in double-digit kills topped by Abby Tiesman's 15. Â Â Â

The Grizzlies are back at it tomorrow at Colorado Christian at 5:00PM. The Cougars swept Fort Lewis tonight in Lakewood, Colorado.
