Salt Lake City, Utah - The Adams State University men's basketball team (5-7, 3-3 RMAC) again found themselves on the wrong end of the scoreboard tonight as they closed out the toughest road test of the season so far. Fresh off a loss to No. 15 Fort Lewis last Tuesday, competition was no easier in tonight's 77-93 loss to a tough Westminster (9-1, 5-1 RMAC) team.

Shane Johnson put the Grizzlies up by two in the early minutes, but that would be their only lead of the game. The Griffins would build a solid lead but Trace Dimeff cut it to nine with a last second three before the half.

Shane Johnson gave Adams a spark early in the second half to get them within five. Westminster would run away with it after that, leading by as much as 22 points on the way to their fourth straight conference win.

Turnovers hurt the Grizzlies tonight with the Griffins scoring 22 points as a result.
Shane Johnson had a huge game with 25 points and eight assists.
Brandon Sly added another 19 points, five assists, and two steals. Dayon Goodman led the Griffins with 20 points and four steals.

The team now enjoys a 12 day break before their next contest on December 29
th against Colorado Christian at home.
