Pueblo, Colorado - The Adams State University men's basketball team (4-4, 2-0 RMAC) continued its hot start with another Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference win tonight 92-84 over Colorado State Pueblo on the road tonight.

Adams State took the lead off a
Shane Johnson three and would never trail or be tied in the entire game. The Grizzlies would go on to lead by as many as 21 points on the way to an eventual 21 point win.

The ThunderWolves enjoyed an advantage in points off turnovers and second chance points but were defeated in the paint 44-30. Oddly enough, CSUP also dominated in three point shooting with 13 of 34 tries. Despite fairly even stats, ASU was just the better team in the end.
Shane Johnson racked up 28 points and eight rebounds while
Brandon Sly recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 assists. Pueblo got a solid 22 points, five assists, and four steals from Will Newman in defeat. Â Â

The team will return home return next weekend beginning with a matchup with Western State at 7:30PM.
