ST CHARLES, Mo. (March 21th, 2017) --- The Adams State women's lacrosse team faced an undefeated No. 2 Lindenwood team tonight in Missouri. The Grizzlies were no match however as they fell 18-1.
Facing Lions (8-0) at home was no easy task for the Grizzlies (0-4) tonight, though ASU did keep it competitive early.
Cera Cyester hit an unassisted goal with 19:35 remaining in the first half to make it a 2-1 game in favor of Lindenwood. That would be the highlight of the night for Adams State. The Lions proceeded to go on a 16-0 run for the rest of the game to remain perfect on the year.
Alyse Mims managed to collect four ground balls and posted 12 saves for Adams State tonight. Nine different players for Lindenwood scored goals, led by Cassie Stucklen with five.
The team is right back at it on Thursday at Rockhurst. That game will begin at 4:00PM.
