ALAMOSA, Colo. (April 19th, 2017) --- The Adams State women's lacrosse team faced a tremendous challenge this afternoon as they hosted the No. 15 ranked Regis Rangers. The visitors from Denver got up early and never looked back on the way to a 15-2 win.

Regis (13-1, 7-0 RMAC) started things off with a 5-0 run in the opening ten minutes.
Cera Cyester got things going for Adams State (2-11, 1-7 RMAC) with her team-high 16
th goal. From there, the Rangers put together a 9-0 run to increase their lead to 14-1 midway through the second half.
Jessica Hammer would end the drought with 12:15 remaining in the game. Unfortunately, that was the last burst of offense that ASU would find as the Rangers went on to secure a 13 point victory.

Jessica Hammer continues to have individual success this season with two ground balls and four draw controls on the day.
Samantha Hammer and
Mireya Castro also combined for four draw controls.
Alyse Mims made seven saves in the goal, to best Regis' two. The Grizzlies fared well on the draw, being edged only 10-9. Â Â Â

The team will host their senior day this Saturday against CSU-Pueblo at noon.
