Gunnison, Colorado. - The Adams State University volleyball team (7-8, 3-3 RMAC) snapped a three game losing streak tonight against a struggling Western State (1-14, 0-6) team in three sets.

Though the Grizzlies pulled off a sweep, the first and second sets were tight. Up 22-21 in the first, a
Mallory Grimsrud kill and a pair of attack errors allowed the Grizzlies to take the set 25-21. The second was a bit closer but ASU again edged it out after a
Hannah Goddard kill gave Adams a 25-23 win. There was no doubt in the third set. Up 18-11, the Grizzlies put together a 5-0 run on their way to a 25-16 decision.

Mallory Grimsrud led the way with 15 kills and five total blocks with freshman,
Macie Magallon close behind with 10 kills. Rachel Ringler continues to impress after missing several games with 29 assists. Kathleen Kasel led the Mountaineers with seven kills two total blocks.

The Grizzlies finally return home for a four game home stand. The action begins next Friday against Colorado Christian at 7:00PM. Â
