ALAMOSA – Adams State University defeated MSU-Denver this evening by a dominating score of 80-62. Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Shane Johnson dominated once again, scoring his sixth-straight 20 point game with a game-high 26.

The game looked to be a defensive battle, as there were no scorers with double-digit first half points. Additionally the Grizzlies held the Roadrunners to 30 percent from the field and without a three-pointer in the first half. Visa versa, the Grizzlies only shot 39 percent from the field and 40 percent from deep in the first half. The score was just a mere 33-21, as each team put up well more than 40 points in the second half.

Also, the Grizzlies held the Roadrunners to just a single assist in the first half that occurred with eight seconds left, and out-boarded their opponents 24-15 in the first half.

The second half was an offensive battle, as within the first eight minutes both teams were shooting more than 64 percent from the field and 75 percent from beyond the arc.

Johnson and Sly dominated the offensive end of the court once again, putting up 26 and 18 points. Both shot at least 50 percent from the floor, while Johnson dished out five assists. On the defensive end of the battle,
Mike Thomas had all five of the teams' five blocks, while Sly and Thomas each had eight boards. The Grizzlies had 15 more boards than the Roadrunners.
