Grizzlies to Keep an Eye On
New Mexico Collegiate Classic

• Dianna Johnson will compete yet again in the 60m dash at UNM. The senior owns the top-time in the 60 this year with a 7.39 that she ran at The Power 5 meet back in mid-January.
• Speedster Kandace Thomas will also compete at UNM but is slated to run in the 200m dash. She is eighth in Division II entering the weekend at 24.56 and will look to improve her time.
• Ian Kerr will look to improve his time as well in the 200. His time of 21.49 that he ran back in early December is tied for sixth in Division II entering this weekend.
• In the 60m hurdles Oweneika Watson will also look to move in the national rankings. She is fourth in the event in Division II with a time of 8.55 that she ran back in early December.

CU Invitational
• The women's mile will likely feature two top runners for the Grizzlies in Tiffany Christensen and Roisin Flanagan. Christensen is second in Division II in the event at 4:53.38 and is a member of the Distance Medley Relay that had provisionally qualified for indoor nationals.
• Roisin Flanagan has yet to run the mile this season. The junior was the national runner-up in the mile last season and has already ran provisional qualifying times in the 800m run and as a member of the DMR this season.
• The men's mile will showcase Grayson Freeman who is ranked eighth in Division II in the event. Joining Freeman in the mile as well will be Elias Gedyon and Austin Anaya.
• Gedyon and Anaya are ranked second and third in the 3,000m run, respectively but are moving down to compete in both the mile and 800 this weekend.
• The women's 3000m run is set to have a trio of Adams State harriers in Kaylee Bogina, Eilish Flanagan, and Malena Grover.
• Bogina enters the event ranked No. 7 in Division II. Eilish Flanagan has yet run to run in an individual event this indoor season but has run in the DMR. Grover has competed in the mile but will see action in the 3,000 for the first time this season.

What to Watch For
• With Adams State sending athletes to different meets this weekend, look for competitors to improve their marks to put themselves in a better position for the Indoor National Championships in March.
• Both meets are likely going to feature a number of high-level athletes at the Division I level. The Grizzlies will to showcase that they can hang with the best like they have done in the past.
• The Grizzlies are still ranked in the top-five in the latest USTFCCCA National Poll (women - 2nd, men - 3rd). Both teams will look to stay in the top-three behind strong competition this weekend.

Up Next
• Adams State will split action at two different meets for the second straight week. The team will host the ASU Grizzly Open on Feb. 8-9 while a handful of athletes will go to Seattle, Wash. to compete in the Washington Husky Classic.
