ALAMOSA, CO--Colin Baker has been hired as the new Head Coach of the Adams State Women's Soccer Team. Baker was previously the Assistant Coach this past season for both the Men's and Women's Adams State Soccer programs.

Baker has coached collegiate soccer for the last six years. Some of his previous destinations include Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, Great Falls College-Montana State University, and Carroll College in Helena, Montana.

"I appreciate the opportunity Adams State has given me and am very excited for the year. We have a great group of players and I want to prove that Adams State soccer isn't going to be the Adams State of old," Baker said. "I think I can bring a competitive mentality to the program; a mentality that you can compete at the highest level... that it doesn't matter where you're from or what your budget is. I think this mentality will give our players the opportunity to grow as people. They'll be able to use this mindset to their advantage for the rest of their lives."

The team opens up their regular season at home on Sunday, September 8th vs Western Oregon.
