RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Adams State Grizzlies played South Dakota Mines in Rapid City, South Dakota this afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
The Grizzlies and the Hardrockers came ready to play. Both teams started very fast and physical. Both of the Grizzlies and the Hardrockers have a very similar overall and conference record. On paper this game would be a good matchup and they proved that to be true. No one was able to find the back of the net in the first half.
The second half was a different story both teams had their own turn at having the games momentum. It wasn't until 64 minutes into the game, when the Adams State Grizzlies scored the first goal of the game. Senior Benjamin Rogers scored with the assist from another senior,
Josh Garcia. The Grizzlies tried hard to prevent the Hardrockers from responding, but six minutes later, South Dakota Mines answered back. Trent Ripley scored with an assist from George Martinez. The viewers remained on the edge of their seat, whether they were at the game or on their couch as the score was like this well into the 86th minute. The final four minutes went back and forth and the end of the clock hit before anyone could score another goal. This means the Grizzlies and the Hardrockers would go into overtime.

This is how the game looked like it was going to go because no one scored in the first ten-minute period. It wasn't until three minutes into the second overtime where Rogers scored another goal for the Grizzlies, winning them the game. The is the Grizzlies second win on the season.
