ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies had won an exhibition game over Oklahoma Panhandle State, 86-60.
The first quarter started and the Grizzlies came out to play. They started and finished the quarter physical, fast, and aggressive. They immediately started to pull away from the competition. By the end of the first quarter, the Grizzlies were up 25 to 10. The Grizzlies carried this way of playing all the way to the end of the first half. The Grizzlies again scored over ten more points than Oklahoma Panhandle.
The second half began and the Grizzlies came out just as they did at the beginning of the game. The Grizzlies offense was on fire as they had five players score double digits.
Kayla Harris had 18 points,
Laura Gutierrez had 13,
Angelline Nageak and
Kaela McClure had 11 points, and
Kaitlyn Bell and
Stephanie Ruiz had 10. Adams State finished the game strong against Oklahoma Panhandle and won 86-60. This has been an excellent start for the Grizzlies, who are 1-0 on the season after last Friday's 68-51 win over Northern New Mexico College.
Up next the Grizzlies travel to Texas for the weekend as they play Cameron University on Friday, November 12th and then Midwestern State University Texas on Saturday, November 13th.
