GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—The Grizzlies looked forward to a rebound after Saturday's tilt. Adams State began the game with well thought out plays, which created tension with the Mavericks but despite their efforts took a fall, 90-45.
Kaelin Crane led Adams State with 12 points,
Rylan O'Brien scored 9, and
Malik Moore 8.
The Grizzlies began the first half strong as
Kaelin Crane went for a jumper and was the first Grizzly to score. The Mavericks began to build a lead early on and the Grizzlies did their best not to trail to far.
Nykolas Lange played a strong defense keeping the momentum going for the Grizzlies.
Then Maverick outscored the Grizzlies in the first half 38-26.
The Mavericks continued to steadily pull away in the second half as the Grizzlies felt the pressure build up. Crane did his best to be in the best position for rebounds, which helped as he made his way to the basket. The Mavericks keep pulling away from the Grizzlies and resulted in the Grizzlies struggling to close the lead.
Crane went in for a rebound and made a jumper but despite the Grizzlies efforts they ended the game with a score of 90-45.
ASU will be back on the court on December 31
st where they will end their 2021 portion of the season in a match against Metropolitan State University in Plachy Hall at 7:30 p.m.
