ALAMOSA, Colo.— The Adams State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will travel to Pueblo, Colorado to compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship this weekend. The meet will be held at the Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl on the campus of Colorado State University Pueblo. The meet will begin on Friday, April 30 and conclude on Sunday, May 2.
The Grizzlies will send 48 men and women athletes to the championship. Adams State Women enter the weekend as the top team as they are ranked No. 5 in the latest USTFCCCA Top-25 Rankings. On the men's side, Colorado School of Mines is ranked No. 1 while Adams State is the next ranked team at No. 11.

FRIDAY
In the field events
Caelyn Gomez is competing in the women's long jump as she is seeded in second in the first flight. While in the first flight of the men's long jump
Camwrin Harris is seeded seventh. In the men's hammer throw
John Hochanadel is seeded first followed by
George Galaviz who is seeded in second in the first flight.
Jordan Larson will be competing in the second flight as he is seeded in sixth.
On the track, those who will begin competing on Friday, are the men's 10,000-meters, as Aron Orar is seeded second and
Justin Andrade seeded in ninth.
The Grizzlies will have five men in the first heat of the men's 1500-meter and three men in the second. In the first heat Mikah Paiz is seeded first,
Ahmed Sado is seeded fourth,
Carson Bix is seeded fifth,
Andrew O'Keefe is seeded seventh, and
Davonte Jett-Reynolds is seeded ninth. In the second heat Mitchell Dervin is seeded second,
Alec Hall third, and James Dunne 11th.
There will be four women in heat one of the women's 1500-meter and two women in the second heat.
Eilish Flanagan is seeded fifth in the first heat, followed by
Stephanie Cotter in seventh, Kaylee Bognia in eighth, and Emma Wern seeded tenth. In the second heat Rosin Flanagan is seeded fourth and
Morgan Hykes seeded tenth.
The next event to look out for is the men's 400-meter prelims, which there will be three sections of. In the first heat
Keilin Jones is seeded first and in the third heat
Jonah Vigil is seeded first, followed by
Eric Williams in eighth. In the women's 400-meter prelims
Jessica Simon is seeded in seventh in the third heat.
Some of the track athletes to watch on Friday include
Alese Sartain in the women's 100-meter dash as she is seeded first in the second heat, while Leroy Elliott is seeded first in the first heat of the men's 100-meter dash prelims.
In the women's 400-meter hurdle prelims,
Kaitlyn Kelley will be representing the Grizzlies in this event as she is seeded seventh in the third heat. While in the section of the men's 400-meter hurdles
Jordan Spencer is seeded sixth in the second heat and
Neveh Jones is seeded fifth in the third heat.
SATURDAY
Competing in the men's discus throw is James Hochanadel seeded in third and
George Galaviz is seeded ninth in the first flight. In the second flight
John Hochanadel is seeded third,
Jordan Larson is seeded fifth, and Sam Dirkes is seeded 11
th.
There is one Grizzly competing in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase, Clement Duigou is seeded fourth in this event in the second heat. In the women's 3000-meter steeplechase
Haleigh Hunter-Galvan is seeded first, Sarah Wills is seeded second,
Erin Stonebarger is seeded eighth,
Reina Paredes is seeded 10

In the men's 110-meter Hurdles

In the men's 800-metere
David Cardenas is seeded third and Sam Kepford is seeded eighth in the third heat. The Grizzly competing in the women's 800-meter is

SUNDAY
In the field events, we have three men competing in the men's shot put, Sam Dirkes is seeded fifth,
John Hochanadel is seeded sixth, and James Hochanadel is seeded ninth in the second flight.
The Grizzlies competing in the men's triple jump, in the first flight

Jordan Spencer is in the second flight seeded fourth.
Stepping on to the track is the men's 4x100 seeded seventh with a team that consist of Leroy Elliot,
