MBB | Mountain Lions down Grizzlies in Monday game

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –Playing an unusual Monday night Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game, the Adams State University Grizzles were on the bottom end of a 103-65 game at UCCS.

Adams State did see the return of Jordan Notch, who paced the Grizzlies with 20 points as the Grizzlies shot 40.3 percent from the field, however, only hit 3-of-14 from beyond the arch.

A 16-3 run in the middle of the first half saw Adams State trailing by 11 points in the middle of the first half. The Mountain Lions continued to increase the lead as they hit nine three-pointers. The first half became the Mac Stodart game for UCCS as he hit 6-of-8 shots from the field including five treys to take a 49-31 lead at the break.

In the second half, Adams State was unable to solve the Mountain Lions offense as they hit five more treys in the second half and outscored Adams State by 20 points, 53-34 for the win.

The Grizzlies will have a short week to rebound as they are set to hit the road to take on Western Colorado on Friday and Fort Lewis on Saturday.
