GOLDEN, Colo.—A narrow rebounding margin and an 18-point performance by Kobi Betts saw the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers pull away from the Adams State University men's basketball team on Friday night inside Lockridge Arena, 71-62.
The Grizzlies led in the first half but the Orediggers closed out with a 33-32 lead at the break as they shot 41.7 percent from the field. The Grizzlies shot 41.4 percent from the field in the second half, however, they allowed Colorado School of Mines to take to take 18 free throws in the second half.
The Orediggers scored 14 of them to pull away and seal the game with a 5-0 run in the final 1:39.
The Grizzlies were led by
Kaelin Crane, who had 17 points.
Malik Moore scored 12 points and
Tyrin Hollis had 13 points as all three had five field goals in the game.
The Grizzlies will close out their season on Saturday when they play at Regis with a 6:00 p.m. tip off.
