The Grizzlies jumped on the board first with a two run double by Mike Bathauer in the bottom of the first inning. The Rangers cut the score in half in the top of the fourth inning with a single and then tied the game in the top of the sixth inning. The Grizzlies respond with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning with a single by Orlando Romero that scored Matt Bathauer. Mike Bathauer added onto the lead with a solo homerun to right center. Chase Dixon also had a single that platted Jace Wytulka in the same inning.
The Grizzlies started right-handed pitcher Alfredo Villa. He put the team on his back and threw a complete game on 96 pitches. He recorded one earned run on five strikeouts and zero walks. He now brings his record to 4-2.
