WLAX | Wiedeman scores as Grizzlies fall to ThunderWolves

PUEBLO, Colo. — The Adams State Grizzlies were on the road to open a four-game week as they saw their first goal of the season hit the net but ultimately fell to the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves, 25-1 on Sunday.

The ThunderWolves offensive was on fire from the first whistle. The Grizzlies defense had a hard time holding the ThunderWolves as they scored 10 goals in the first period. This continued into the second period as the score going into halftime was 16-0.

The ThunderWolves continued attacking and would score four more in the third period. The Grizzlies offense came alive in the fourth period as Sydney Wiedeman scored. The name Wiedeman should be familiar to Grizzly fans as she was a vital player for the ASU Women's soccer team the past few years. The final score of the game was 25-1, ThunderWolves.

Up next the Grizzlies are hosting conference foe, Fort Lewis College. This game was originally scheduled for March 30th, but now it is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5th.
