LAKEWOOD, Colo. Colorado Christian University was able to capitalize on two unfortunate moments resulting in a 2-0 win against Adams State University Friday morning at Trailblazer Stadium. Ending the Cougars five-game losing streak.
After a slow start for the Grizzlies the Cougars were able to break the back line in the 10
th minute resulting in a 0-1 lead for the Cougars (2-6-0). After a break away for the Cougars there was a collision in the Grizzlies 18 box resulting a penalty kick in the 34
th minute, taking the Cougars on a 2-0 lead. The Grizzlies came out strong in the second half of the game but were unable to score.
The Cougars first goal came from Skylee Deladurantaye assisted by Capri Dewing. Followed by Saige Stock on the penalty kick.
It was an unfortunate day for the Grizzlies, but they will try to turn things around are Western this upcoming Sunday.
