CHADRON, Neb. -- Adams State completed a two-game sweep of its road trip Jan. 14 with a come-from-behind, 74-66 win at Chadron (Neb.) State.
The win pushes ASU's record to 12-5 overall and 8-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Eagles slipped to 3-14, 3-8 in the RMAC.
The Grizzlies used a fourth-quarter rally to pull out the win. They outscored the Eagles 27-17.
Kiiyani Anitielu led the Grizzlies with 18 points.
Angelline Nageak added 14, including a pair of 3-pointers. Harmaine Dominguez added 10 points.
Ashayla Powers led the Eagles with 19 points. Samiyah Worrell hit two from long range en route to 14 points. Kyra Tanabe added a dozen.
The game featured 10 ties and just as many lead changes. The Grizzlies scored 18 points off Chadron turnovers, while the Eagles turned ASU turnovers into just 11 points.
Adams State returns to Plachy Hall at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, against Westminster College of Utah.
