ALAMOSA, Colo. – Westminster College of Utah beat Adams State 76-67 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Jan. 20 at Plachy Hall.
The Griffin improves to 6-12, 5-7 in the conference. The Grizzlies slipped to 3-15, 1-11 in the RMAC.
Trey Farrer led Westminster with 21 points. Taylor Miller scored 20, including a pair of 3-pointers. ASU's leading scorer was
Kolby Walker with 22 points, including four baskets from beyond the 3-point stripe.
Isaiah Sampson hit three from long range en route to a 15-point performance.
Maison Adeleye added 10 points.
There were four ties and a single lead change in the contest. Westminster scored 20 points off ASU turnovers. In contract, Adams State converted Griffin mistakes into just nine points.
After a rare Saturday off, Adams State gets back to work at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in Denver against Metropolitan State University.
