WBB | Roadrunners slip past Grizzlies

DENVER -- Metropolitan State University of Denver got past Adams State 71-67 on Friday.

The win pushed MSUD's record to 9-10 overall, 7-6 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. ASU fell to 13-6, 9-4 in conference play.

Three Grizzlies -- Kilyani Anitieu, Darlisha Reed and Harmaine Dominguez -- led the team's score sheet with 14 points. Dominguez made four, 3-point baskets. Elaina Watson added 11. MSU's top scorer was Jaiden Galloway, who tossed in three, 3-pointers en route to a 20-point performance. Mikylah Espinosa scored 15, Kendra Parra scored 14, and Miza Gilberto added 11.

The game featured three ties and two lead changes. Adams State was able to score 15 points off Roadrunners' turnovers, while MSU turned Adams State's turnovers into 23 points.

Adams State's road trip continues at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Colorado School of Mines inside Lockridge Arena.
