WBB | Grizzlies fall to ranked Orediggers

GOLDEN, Colo. -- Adams State's women's basketball team finished its Denver-area road swing with an 80-69 loss at the Colorado School of Mines Jan. 28.

The win pushes CSM's record to 17-3 overall, 13-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. ASU falls to 13-7, 9-5 in conference play.

Harmaine Dominguez led the Grizzlies with 12 points. Darlisha Reed scored 11, and Kiiyani Anitielu scored 10. Ashley Steffeck led the Orediggers with 29 points, including seven baskets from 3-point range.Jenna Siebert added 13.

The teams' field-goal percentages were about even. ASU made just four baskets from beyond the 3-point line as compared with the Orediggers' 10. The Grizzlies had 12 more points in the paint than did Colorado Mines.

The Grizzlies are back in action at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, against New Mexico Highlands inside Plachy Hall.
