ALAMOSA, Colo. -- Four Adams State University players reached double figures in the Grizzlies' 72-59 home-floor win over the University of Colorado Springs Jan. 7.
ASU scored 51 of its points in the second half and held UCCS to just 35. The Grizzlies improved to 10-5 overall, 6-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Mountain Lions fell to 5-10, 4-5 in conference play.
Kiiyani Anitielu led the effort for Adams State with 16 points. Angelline Mageak scored 14, while Harmaine Dominguez and
Darlisha Reed added 10 points apiece. Maison White led the Mountain Lions with 14 points. Breelyn Robinson was close behind with 13. Agar Farres tossed in 10 points.
The game featured five ties and five lead changes. ASU forced 31 Mountain Lion turnovers, which turned into 26 Grizzlies' points.
Adams State heads for Lakewood and a 5:30 p.m. contest Friday, Jan. 13, at Colorado Christian University.
