ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Grizzlies faced a tough loss, here at the ASU Soccer Field on Thursday afternoon. No. 5 Colorado State University-Pueblo gave ASU a challenging match that resulted in another loss for the Grizzlies, 4-0.
The Grizzlies used effective tactics to play a strong defense in the first half of the match as neither team scored.
The ThunderWolves managed to score a point when they were given the opportunity to shoot a penalty kick. ASU worked cohesively to prevent the ThunderWolves from scoring,
In the second half, the Grizzlies did their best to be strategic with each pass. The Grizzlies determination was evident through their relentless efforts, but the Thunderwolves managed to get to the goal, with a shot on the high right corner they managed to get the ball past
Charles Manthe. ASU stayed focused on giving their best efforts until the final whistle went off ending the game 4-0.
The Thunderwolves had nine shots on the goal and made four, and
Charles Manthe saved the other five of those attempts.
The Grizzlies will take the field again on Sunday, Oct. 15
th as they will travel to to compete in a match against the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with the game scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
