ALAMOSA, Colo. -- The Adams State University women's basketball team dropped the 2023-23 home opener against the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds, 70-58 on Thursday night inside Plachy Hall.
The Grizzlies trailed 17-10 after the first quarter and saw the hole grow to nine at the half, 36-27.
The Grizzlies closed the gap to three in the fourth quarter but a 5-of-17 (29.4 percent) shooting performance in the fourth quarter doomed the Grizzlies.
Adams State was led by
Angelline Nageak who scored 17 points.
Adams State will look to rebound on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. when they play host to Texas A&M Kingsville.
