ALAMOSA -- Colorado School of Mines held Adams State to just 30 points in the second half and went on to a 93-59 win inside Plachy Hall Feb. 23.
The Orediggers improved to 23-4 overall, 17-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while ASU slipped to 5-22. 3-18 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
CSM's Adam Thistlewood led his team in scoring with 21 points. Brendan Sullivan had 16, and Kai Barr added 14. Riley Schroeder scored 12.
Kolby Walker led the Grizzlies with 13 points.
Luke Williams contributed nine, and
Sterling Benjamin scored eight.
The Orediggers made 56 percent of their field goals and eight of 18 from beyond the arc. ASU made just 33 percent of its field goals and only three of 14 tries from 3-point range.
ASU gets back to work at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, when the Grizzlies host Metropolitan State University of Denver.
