PUEBLO, Colo. – A six-run top of the sixth inning in Game One of a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) doubleheader helped the Adams State University Grizzlies secure a split on Friday at Rawlings Complex.
GAME 1: Adams State 13, CSU Pueblo 10
32 mph winds wreaked havoc on both sides of the ball as both teams combined for 22 hits and seven errors that led to 23 runs.
The Grizzlies opened the scoring on an RBI double by senior

Kaia Bradford. A two-run double by Bradford eliminated a homer by the ThunderWolves in the bottom of the first to make the score 3-1 after two.
The ThunderWolves saw a double followed by a stolen base and an error to tie the game at three going to the fourth.

CSU Pueblo did not back down as they scored four runs in the fifth inning to earn their first lead of the game, 7-5.
Adams State then scored six unearned runs including three scoring plays that allowed batters to reach on errors.
After the ThunderWolves scored two unearned runs in the sixth inning,
Mariah Madrid shut the door with a two-run home run for the insurance policy.
Tayler Duncan started the game for the Grizzlies with 4.1 innings of work. She surrendered seven runs, six earned, on nine hits and a walk while striking out one.
Jasmine Garbiso, who earned the win and moved to 3-6 on the season, tossed 2.2 innings while giving up three unearned runs on three hits.
Game 2: CSU Pueblo 9, Adams State 0 (5 inn.)
Despite a slow start the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves capitalized on six errors to score their nine runs with the aid of six hits.
Mitchell and Smith were the lone Grizzlies to get hits while Madrid reached base after getting hit.

The Grizzlies, now 8-25 overall and 5-17 in the RMAC, will close out the series with the ThunderWolves with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m.
