WBB | Grizzlies add four to 2023-24 roster

ALAMOSA, Colo.- Adams State University Women's Basketball Head Coach and the reigning Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Coach of the Year Mario Caetano,  has announced the addition of four student athletes for the 2023-24 season.

CAROLINE KNOTHE | FRESHMAN | FORWARD | BISHOP KELLY HS | BOISE, IDAHO
The 4A Southern Idaho Player of the Year, Caroline Knothe, makes her way to Alamosa, Colo. from Boise, Idaho. Knothe averaged 13.9 points per game, 6.3 assists, and led Bishop Kelly to a 4A District III title and 3rd place finish in the state tournament. Knothe was also nominated to the Treasure Valley Girls Basketball Athlete of the Year and an Idaho High School Activities Association outstanding student recipient.
 
CHRISTABEL LONGE | JUNIOR | CENTER | MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE | WARRI, NIGERIA
The 6'1" Nigerian Native, Christabel Longe. makes her way to Adams State University after two seasons at Mesa Community College. During her stint at MCC, Longe racked up a total of 43 wins in just two seasons, and was part of the NJCAA Region 1 Division II Championship team. Longe brings national tournament experience to the Grizzlies. Prior to Mesa Community College, Longe attended Arizona Compass Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.).
 
DESTINEE PAULK | JUNIOR | GUARD | RANGER COLLEGE | DENVER, COLO.
Destinee Paulk, the Denver, Colorado native, will begin her career at Adams State University after stops at Otero Junior College (La Junta, Colo.), Dodge City Community College (Dodge City, Kan.), & Ranger College (Ranger, Texas). Paulk also brings National Tournament experience, while at Otero Junior College, she helped OJC to the programs first ever win in the NJCAA National Tournament. While at Ranger College, Paulk averaged 7 points per game, shot 46.7% from beyond the arch, and just over 1 steal per contest. Paulk is a graduate of Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Colo..
 
BRI LINNEAR | JUNIOR | GUARD | SEWARD COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE | AURORA, COLO.
Bri Linnear joins Adams State University after a two-year stint at Seward County Community College (Liberal, Kan.). The 5'8'' guard helped Seward County to a total of 40 wins in her two years with the program. Linnear averaged just under 7 points per contest, 4 rebounds per game, and just over 1 steal per game. Linnear played her prep career at Rangeview High School (Aurora, Colo.) where she averaged 10.2 points per game and was one the state's best defenders.
