Alamosa, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies dropped their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener Friday afternoon, falling 6-0 to MSU Denver at the ASU Soccer Field.
The Roadrunners controlled possession early, keeping the Grizzlies pinned in their own half for much of the first period. MSU Denver fired 17 shots in the opening 45 minutes and added nine more in the second half. Goalkeeper Joshua Kropf battled in net for Adams State, finishing with six saves against 13 shots on goal.
Offensively, the Grizzlies struggled to find rhythm, tallying just three shots in the match. Levi Levin recorded the team's lone shot on frame in the 35th minute, but MSU Denver goalkeeper Nick McNeil was there for the save.
Adams State will look to bounce back Sunday when it hosts Colorado Christian at noon.
