Salt Lake City, Utah – Adams State volleyball bounced back in a big way Friday night, defeating Western Colorado 3–1 (17–25, 25–21, 25–20, 25–18) in neutral-site RMAC play at Behnken Field House.
After dropping the opening set, the Grizzlies regrouped and took control behind a balanced offensive effort. Hadleigh Richardson led the charge with 17 kills and 10 digs, hitting .412 on the night to secure her seventh double-double of the season. Olivia Lunt added nine kills on an impressive .533 hitting percentage while Katie Bauer contributed five kills, three service aces, and two solo blocks for 10 points.
Ellie Miller paced the offense with 17 assists and 10 digs, while Logan Conlin and Taylor Matthews each chipped in with double-digit digs to anchor the defense.
As a team, Adams State hit .299 and totaled seven aces and five blocks, outpacing Western Colorado's .241 hitting and seven blocks.
With the win, the Grizzlies improve to 12–10 overall and 7–4 in RMAC play, while the Mountaineers drop to 1–21 and remain winless in conference action.
Adams State returns to the court tomorrow to wrap up the weekend at the Westminster tri-match.
