Denver, Colo. – Adams State fell 3–0 to MSU Denver on Friday night at the Auraria Event Center, dropping sets 25–18, 25–18 and 25–12.
The Grizzlies battled early, keeping the opening set close with four ties, but the Roadrunners used a series of blocks and service pressure to pull away late. MSU Denver's front line controlled the match throughout, finishing with 16 total blocks and hitting .283 as a team.
Adams State struggled to find offensive rhythm, recording 30 kills but also 30 attack errors. Mercy Martinez led the Grizzlies with 10 kills and 4 digs, while Hadleigh Richardson added 8 kills. Olivia Lunt chipped in 7 kills and a pair of blocks.
Ellie Miller and Peyton Priddy combined for 18 assists, and Logan Conlin paced the back row with 9 digs and two service aces.
With the loss, Adams State moves to 15–13 overall and 9–6 in RMAC play. The Grizzlies return to the court tomorrow as they continue their road swing.
