Adams State Finalizes 2025 Football Coaching Staff

Alamosa, Colo. – Adams State head football coach Levi Gallas announced four additions to complete his coaching staff for the 2025 season.

"I am really excited for the staff that I have put together, and I am excited to get going with them to make us a better team," Gallas said. "We put together an exciting class of recruits, and our team is coming together well."

Chase Kyser – Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks

Chase Kyser spent the previous two seasons at West Texas A&M coaching alongside Gallas as the offensive coordinator for the Buffaloes. Kyser also served as the offensive coordinator for New Mexico Military Institute from 2017 to 2021, where he helped guide the Broncos to their first-ever NJCAA national championship in 2021.

Caleb Kizewski – Special Teams Coordinator/Wide Receivers

Caleb Kizewski comes to Adams State from Monmouth College, where he coached linebackers and added an all-conference athlete, Carson Strating, to a second-team All-MWC selection. He also coached three All-Americans and one all-conference athlete at Emporia State. Kizewski was a three-year player for New Mexico Highlands.

Nic Olney – Offensive Line/Recruiting Coordinator

Nic Olney spent the previous season at the University of Minnesota Morris, where he coached offensive linemen, tight ends, and kickers. During that time, three of the five offensive line starters were named all-conference, including one all-region selection. Prior to that, he was a head high school coach in Colorado for 13 years, bringing a multitude of experience at all levels.

Nick Gossage – Defensive Line

Nick Gossage spent the previous two seasons at Chadron State College, one as a coach and one as a player. During his time as a coach for the Eagles, Gossage coached Michael DeCamillis to a first-team All-RMAC selection before hanging up his whistle to play one more season for the Eagles, earning an All-RMAC selection.

In addition to these four coaches, Gallas is bringing back three graduate assistants from last season: Demari Reynolds, Daniel Rowlett, and Ziere Banner.

Demari Reynolds '16 – Graduate Assistant/Defensive Backs

Demari Reynolds spent last season coaching the cornerbacks for the Grizzlies. Before his time at Adams, Reynolds was the head coach at John F. Kennedy High School in Denver. He has spent the last 10 years coaching and was a coordinator at Mullen, Rock Canyon, and Aurora Central. Reynolds was a coach for nationally known Team Full Gorilla and has helped produce more than 20 Division I and II athletes.

Daniel Rowlett – Graduate Assistant/Outside Linebackers

Daniel Rowlett returns to the Grizzlies after coaching the tight ends during the fall of 2024 before transitioning to outside linebackers during the offseason. Rowlett comes to Adams State from New Mexico Highlands, where he coached tight ends in the spring of 2024.

Ziere Banner '19 – Graduate Assistant/Running Backs

Ziere Banner returns to the Grizzlies after coaching running backs during the 2024 season. A 2019 graduate of Adams State, Banner played wide receiver for the Grizzlies for four seasons.
